Pandoza - London In Her Hands
She tried to be careful. She wanted to keep as much intact as possible. The buildings were so minuscule, and crumbled to dust so easily, but they were all the more beautiful for it. Details of architecture looked so intricate at this scale, and the more she looked the more she could see. The streets with cars, and shops, and people, so tiny they were barely perceptible, but all sentient, all her subjects. She could feel their awe, and fear, and love.
London was in the palm of her hands. It had not been easy, but the ground by the River Thames was so soft that she had simply dug her fingers down into it and carefully joined the edges of her palms together, cutting through tube tunnels, cabling, pipes, and earth, all the way to bedrock. Then, sitting up, she lifted the whole thing towards her face to examine it more closely. The towers glistened and the streets sparkled, and the people crawled from their ruined buildings to see her face looking down on them.
